The suspect who attempted to kill Occidental Mindoro Gov. Eduardo Gadiano explained that it was allegedly due to “prophecy.”

In an exclusive interview with Gadiano, he allegedly talked to the suspect after he was arrested inside his office.

Gadiano identified the suspect as Adrianne Gatdula.

Earlier, on Tuesday morning, Gatdula allegedly entered his office and was continued because he knew her and his office was also spacious for his constituents.

But suddenly the governor was targeted one after another with three knives.

Fortunately, Gadiano, 57, quickly escaped.

That is why he quickly avoided because of his reflexes.

Until the suspect was arrested.

“Una nakaupo ako pag-spin niya nakailag tayo. Noong hindi tamaan, diretso pa rin may dalang kutsilyo. Nag-commotion na kami doon buti may isa akong kasama ako doon sa loob na may isang upuan na ipinangharang sa kanya,” added a statement to Bombo Radyo by Gov. Gadiano.

. “Presence of mind lang nakatingin ako doon sa kamay niya, hindi doon sa kanyang mukha na mukhang galit kundi doon sa kanyang kamay na may kutsilyo na ating tiningnan.”

According to the official when he asked Adrianne why he tried to kill him, the answer was that it was because of “prophecy.”

The suspect also pointed to the cellphone he was holding which was said to be the “answer.”


Gov. Gadiano told them they would find out on the cellphone if someone ordered him to be assassinated or if there was a group.

For now, he intends to sue Gatdula.

“Nang tinanong ko sabi niya prophecy lang daw. Ewan ko kung anong prophecy sinasabi niya,”the governor added.

Meanwhile, in an interview with PNP Col. Joseph Bayan, the provincial director of Occidental Mindoro, said the suspect allegedly used three knives four to five inches long.

Col. Bayan, on the other hand, doubted the suspect’s correct thinking especially and that his excuse for his behavior was allegedly related to “prophecy.”

Gatdula is currently detained at the Mamburao police station after undergoing a medical examination.
