Timothy Yap had no bad intentions and did not intend to violate health protocols during his recent birthday party in Baguio City.

This was stated by the 44-year-old radio host / eventologist after being criticized by the online world following the spread of some photos where most of the visitors were not wearing facemask, no social distancing and even dancing as if there was no coronavirus pandemic.

According to Tim, he apologizes for the leaked videos but it has been edited.

He said the purpose of the said event was only to promote the tourism and culture of Baguio, which he also used to do activities with his friends.

He also said that it was safe for them to have a party because they were outside the hotel, the seats were far away at dinner, and there were only 30 people at the venue which was a roofed tent in the 5,000-square-meter garden.

“Every activity was supervised. We worked with the people of Baguio, from the LGUs, to the people, to the venue. We made sure that it wasn’t indoors and it wasn’t packed. Again, I am very, very sorry for those videos that came out that we didn’t have the masks, ”he told CNN Philippines.

The Department of Tourism-Cordillera Administrative Region is currently investigating the party at Camp John Hay.

Among the guests were actress KC Concepcion, Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and his wife.

Richard Gutieerez’s twin party, Raymond’s twin party, was first celebrated on the internet at a restaurant in Taguig, which has now been closed due to the issue of violating health protocols.
