Cebu Pacific Air has confirmed that it has given up to P2.4 billion in refunds to passengers since the implementation of the cancellations of flights due to the COVID crisis.
The amount is said to be 50% of the refund requests received.
So far they have pending requests that are being processed as well.
It is said that with the number of requests since April, there have been continuous backlogs.
The airline further explained that only up to 10% were returned to their operations.
Cebu Pacific apologizes to their customers while ensuring that they do everything even if it is a big challenge to their ability.
“We remain committed to our customers to complete pending refunds, and will update them once these have been processed,” Cebu Pacific said in a statement. “We understand how challenging this whole situation is, and we sincerely apologize for the delay.”
