Pollution on NCR returns – Greenpeace

Pollution levels in Metro Manila rose in May following the return of some companies and factories.

This is based on Greenpeace’s Special Report on Managing Air Quality Beyond COVID-19 and the Center for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA).

In the first two weeks of May, nitrogen dioxide from traffic and fossil combustion was seen in Marikina, San Juan and Makati.

Metro Manila’s air quality has improved significantly over the years.
