Life goes on for Maria Andrea “Aya” Abesamis despite being replaced as the country’s representative at Miss Grand International 2020.

In her latest online post, Aya was not directly mentioned but indicated that her journey did not end, but only changed direction.

Binibining Pilipinas Charities Incorporated (BPCI) initially regretted that only age limit was the issue where there were glitches caused by the pandemic, so she could no longer compete in the Miss Grand International coronation.

It will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 27.

BPCI has confirmed that Aya is still the Binibining Pilipinas-Grand International 2019 and will pass her crown at the Binibining Pilipinas pageant in April this year.

Pasig beauty-first runner-up Samantha Lo was supposed to represent the country at the international pageant but there was a problem with her passport.

While the new representative of the Philippines is the “Binibini” second runner-up Samantha Bernardo, who will try to win the first Miss Grand International crown for the Philippines.
