Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) Commissioner Greco Belgica took part in the Senate hearing to present its findings to the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
According to Belgica, corruption in PhilHealth has been rampant in recent years.
It welcomed the task force formed to investigate directly the rampant corruption in the said office.
Their data will allegedly be included in the gathering of the investigating body and the Senate to strengthen the case against corrupt officials.
“We will file a case before the Ombudsman. Probe will continue under PhilHealth Task Force, ”Belgica said.
Data from the PACC official shows that PhilHealth is releasing up to P3 billion a week which is exposed to corruption, so it believes in the revelation of some witnesses from within the said office.
