MANILA, Philippines — The reigning queen Gazini Ganados will crown her successor at the 1st edition of the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 competition on October 25.
After 9 months of delay, sacrifice and preparation by the organizers and candidates due to the pandemic, the first edition of Miss Universe Philippines will continue.
It will be a big challenge for the Miss Universe-Philippines organization that they will make Miss Universe-Philippines 2020 the finals set for October 25 and watch it on GMA 7.
The beauty pageant will take place at the Cordillera Hall at the Baguio City Country Club. Candidates and organizers have passed a thorough test to comply with IATF policy.
About 45 candidates will compete and only one will take home the crown to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Miss Universe 2020.
The pageant kicks off on Friday, October 23 with the Preliminary Competition at Cordillera Hall in Baguio City Country Club where the Miss Universe Philippines beauties will compete for a spot in the Top 15.
The Preliminary Judging panel includes former Miss Universe Philippines representatives namely: Maria Venus Raj, MU 2010 4th Runner-up; Ariella Arida, MU 2013 3rd Runner-up; and MJ Lastimosa, MU 2014 Semifinalist.
Completing the judges’ panel are Dra. Katrina Salonga-Versoza, Jackie Aquino, Neil Perez, and Sam Versoza.
