Malacañang confirmed that public officials and government personnel have been exempted from the mandatory COVID-19 testing and quarantine protocol set by the local government units (LGUs) they will attend.

Based on the announcement by Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, a valid ID issue of his office will only be shown by a government employee or official to the authorities upon arrival at his destination.

According to Sec. Roque, also included that government employees or officials should present at least a certified true copy of his Travel Authority as proof that his trip is official.

It must be signed by the Department Secretary or his immediate supervisor.
However, they must pass the symptom screening done at their port of arrival and ensure that they comply with the minimum public health standards.
