CAUAYAN CITY – Congresswoman Sheena Tan of the 4th district of Isabela has strongly denied the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) allegation that she owns construction companies.
In a statement issued by the congressman on her social media page, she said that she has never had any construction companies or even the existence of shares.
She said the PACC will prove this by examining and validating the concerned government agencies.
She is ready to cooperate with the ongoing investigation to clear her name.
According to the legislator, since people trusted her she considered it a privilege so she would not waste it.
Meanwhile, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III defended Congresswoman Sheena Tan for her involvement in corruption.
In an interview, Secretary Bello III said he was surprised to hear the name of Congresswoman Tan in the president’s report last night.
As a result, after their meeting she approached the president and defended the congresswoman but the president just smiled.
Aside from her, Senator Bong Go also defended Congresswoman Tan.
He believes that the congresswoman is not involved in corruption and that the district engineers may be the ones targeted by the president and that Congresswoman Sheena Tan is the only representative of the fourth district of Isabela that covers them.
