The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has apologized to the personalities who were mistaken for communist rebels.

This is related to their facebook post that went viral with a red tag on an alumni of the University of the Philippines (UP).

According to the AFP Civil-Military Operations Office or J7, they immediately deleted the facebook post after receiving criticism.

An investigation is underway into how the list was released.

The military will ensure that they are held accountable for who is at fault.

The AFP has assured that it will not be repeated in the future.

Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana had earlier said he did not know why the AFP had made the list.

Prior to this, Atty. Rafael Aquino to the AFP to issue an apology after his name was bad on the list.
