MANILA, Philippines — Philippine representative Asia Rose Simpson has advanced to the Top 12 of Miss World 2026, bringing the country closer to another historic finish in the prestigious international pageant.
Simpson’s latest achievement marks another major milestone in her Miss World journey. She previously earned an automatic spot in the Top 40 after winning the Head-to-Head Challenge for Asia and Oceania, before advancing further into the Top 20.
Now among the 12 remaining candidates, Simpson is within striking distance of the final stages of the competition and the coveted Miss World crown.
Her campaign has been highlighted by strong performances across several challenge events, including the Sports, Talent and Top Model competitions. Her Head-to-Head victory also gave her an opportunity to showcase her SĒD (Sports and Dance) Initiatives, an advocacy promoting physical, mental and emotional well-being among young people.
Simpson has also consistently highlighted Filipino values and cultural identity throughout the competition, including the concepts of kapwa and bayanihan.
Her advancement to the Top 12 keeps alive the Philippines’ hopes of ending its long wait for another Miss World title.
The country’s first and only Miss World victory came in 2013, when Megan Young captured the crown in Indonesia.
With the competition now down to 12 contenders, every remaining round becomes crucial for Simpson as she continues her pursuit of the blue crown.
