79,000 have enrolled in the ‘Balik Probinsiya Program’; 2nd batch returns to their provinces on June 11

The second batch of residents from Metro Manila will be arriving on June 11 and enrolling in the government’s Balik Probinsiya, Bagong Pagasa Program (BP2).

NHA General Manager Marcelino Escalada Jr., executive director of Balik ProbinsiyaBagong Pagasa Program today confirmed that the next batch will be made up of residents to be transported to Leyte, Samar, Negros Occidental, Northern Samar, Camarines Sur, Eastern Samar, Zamboanga del Norte and Lanao del Norte.  

The program’s revival began on May 20, 2020 as the country was on the verge of a COVID crisis.

The second batch of 100 will be delivered to Leyte on June 11 and on June 12 residents decide to return to Camarines Sur.

The NHA plans that five to six buses will serve its citizens.

According to Escalada, the next destination is Zamboanga del Norte and Lanao del Norte.
