BuCor Chief Gerald Bantag, positive for COVID-19

BuCor Director Gerald Bantag confirmed that he tested positive for Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

It is also based on the swab test result from the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).

He allegedly received the result of his swab test yesterday.

Even Bantag’s driver and close-in security from the police Special Action Force (SAF) are also positive for the virus.

On September 18, Bantag allegedly felt symptoms of the virus.

“Apat na kaming positive. Tatlo tinrangkaso, tapos 1 driver ko unang nagpositive, tapos 1 security ko, tapos si (Asec) Gabby, tapos ako na. Mga close-in ko na drivers at security ko nagka trangkaso pala sila. Hindi nila dineclare sa akin o sa health (service) namin,”said Bantag.

On Saturday, BuCor spokesperson Asec. Gabriel Chaclag that it is also positive for COVID-19.
