Senator Richard Gordon showed in a video the misconduct of an official of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) in Region 4.
At the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing, Sen. Gordon has a video where PhilHealth Regional Vice President (Region IV-B) Paolo Johann Perez is seen celebrating his birthday inside the office during office hours.
To make matters worse, a woman wearing a bra was dancing in front of Perez.
“On his birthday, Perez received a gift, an enormous box, in his office. A girl, dressed in nothing but her underwear, danced and gyrated provocatively in front of Perez… Perez enjoyed the performance and was seen smiling in the video. He did not prevent the incident, or report and issue any reprimand to the employees who brought the girl, ”the committee report said.

Perez is one of the so-called “Mafia” members of Philhealth.
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, on the other hand, promised that he will ensure that the individuals behind the corruption in Philhealth are held accountable.
“Huwag kayong magkakamali, itong PhilHealth. Sabi ko, yayariin ko kayo. Maniwala kayo. Yung mga inosente naman wala kayong dapat i-ano, tahimik lang kayo at continue working,”President Duterte threatened.
