MANILA, Philippines – Pasig City will file legal action against those involved in the illegal demolition of a depressed areas without even coordination with the authorities.
Mayor Vico Sotto was angry because they did not follow the proper processes and rules of the city under their jurisdiction. “Criminal and civil cases will surely follow. Patas tayo sa lahat, mayaman o mahirap, pero hindi tayo uupo’t manunuod lamang kapag may nang-aapi ng kapwa at nambabaliktad pa ng kwento,” Sotto also said.
“In case may magpost ng putol na video at subukan akong baliktarin,” he said, churning out a litany of the group’s many sins, among them violating the city’s building permit restrictions and even hiring a private armed group. The worst part was they were rude even to Sotto.
“Sa complaint nila, sinabi nilang SILA ang ipinapa-demolish ng LGU (Malinaw sa pictures na walang dalang gamit na pang-demolisyon ang mga peace&order officers natin),” he added.
