Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque clarified that he had nothing to do with the resignation of D. Anthony Leachon as Special Adviser to COVID-19 National Task Force.
This statement by Sec. Roque after the doctor said that Sec. Roque and Health Sec. Francisco Duque III at work.
Sec. Roque, they do not have the ability to do this and even President Rodrigo Duterte has not been ordered to resign from his post.
But according to Sec. Roque, President Duterte criticized his public statements against the government’s recording of the COVID situation in the country and this prompted NTF chief implementer Sec. Carlito Galvez to talk to the doctor.
They said they know that there is still a need to intensify government recording and that they are working hard to improve it.
They also said that they were angry because Leachon pretended that they were lying and hiding information.
