Maddela Quirino – Florante Ruiz has resigned as mayor of Maddela town in Quirino province or better known as the ‘PONG’ of her countrymen.
Mayor Ruiz resigned due to his health condition which is also part of his long tenure as some possible cause of his health situation.
Upon his resignation, Ruiz will be replaced by current vice mayor Rimel ’Lippuok’ Tolentino as mayor of the said town.
Tolentino will be temporarily appointed as officer-in-charge pending a final decision from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
Meanwhile, Joel Badongen has resigned as Municipal Administrator as part of the co-terminus of the former mayor.
Lawyer Junard Ramos, the first councilor in the said town, will be appointed as OIC vice mayor.
