CAUAYAN CITY – Mayor Kiko Dy of Echague, Isabela, provided P500,000.00 reward money for anyone who could teach or provide information to the riding-in-tandem suspect who shot and killed Barangay Captain Boy Sacro of Busilelao, Echague, Isabela.
According to an Echague Police Station investigation, the suspect ambushed and shot Barangay Kapitan Sacro, 62, married.
The assassination of Captain Sacro occurred as a tricycle was crossing the road in Dammang East, Echague, Isabela.
The barangay captain sustained gunshot wounds to his head, neck, side, knees and other parts of the body.
Captain Sacro was taken to the hospital, but he also died shortly after.
In an interview with Bombo Radio Cauayan, Barangay Chief Roberto Imbat of Santa Cruz, Echague, announced that before killing his cousin, they would attend their League meeting.
He said his cousin was returning home on a tricycle when he was shot dead in Barangay Dammang East, Echague, Isabela.
The two culprits were aboard a black honda TMX 125 motorcycle.
According to Chief Barangay Imbat, his cousin was a good man, so it is surprising why the victim was killed.
