42 Brgy officials have been charged and 93 others being investigated for anomalies in SAP – DILG

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) will make an announcement to local officials involved in corruption distributing the government’s social amelioration program (SAP) to affected poor people in lockdown following the COVID-19 pandemic.

DILG Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said the PNP-CIDG has filed 42 criminal cases in various cases across the country.

According to Usec. Freely, an additional 15 cases will be filed while another 93 cases are being investigated.

Recognizing that from the DILG Field Offices, the PNP-CIDG has moved to investigate complaints regarding SAP distribution so that no show cause order is needed and promptly investigated.
